Safety advice for flooding
Here is some flooding safety advice and information:
Motorists are advised not to drive through flood waters. The water is often deeper than it looks and it may be moving fast. If people do need to use their cars drivers are advised to allow extra time for travelling.
People - especially children - should not attempt to walk through flooded areas.
Residents in the affected areas are asked to give a thought to any elderly or disabled people living in the area. Please make contract via telephone rather than personal visits in affected areas.
