Creamfields 2018 - safety tips

Roads will be busy in South Warrington over the August Bank holiday weekend (23rd to 26th August 2018) with approximately 60,000 people expected to attend the Creamfields 2016 event in Daresbury.  The event starts at 2pm on Thursday until 11pm on Sunday. 

Congestion is expected on the M6 and M56 motorways in Warrington.

Safety tips for festival goers

Camping safety for festival goers

  • Be carbon monoxide aware – never use fuel-burning devices (e.g. disposable barbecues, camping stoves, camping heaters, lanterns and charcoal grills) inside a tent.

  • Respect the rules and DON'T use BBQs or stoves inside your tent or near your tent.  Use the designated BBQ area within the Creamfields site. 

  • Remember to drink plenty of water – especially if the weather is hot. Make use of free water points  - if available.

Road safety tips for festival goers

Dangerous Roads

Across Cheshire, Halton and Warrington 20 routes have been identified as carrying a higher risk to road users of suffering a serious or fatal collision. The following dangerous roads are close to Daresbury:

  • A49, Wilderspool Causeway (full length and London Road (up to A56 Walton Road)

  • A49, London Road (A56 Walton Road to Longwood Road)

Please take extra care if you have to travel on these roads
