Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service in collaboration with British Cycling presents Pedal Smart, a course aimed at cyclists aged 14 and above.
This free course aims to get cyclists thinking in a more informed way about their personal safety and, importantly, the safety of others.
Pedal Smart is intended to be informative and engaging with the aim being not to tell, teach or preach. Instead, Pedal Smart aims to get cyclists of all persuasions thinking in a more informed way about their personal safety and, importantly, the safety of others.
Trials of Pedal Smart have shown it to be highly beneficial to cyclists of all persuasions with even the most experienced of cyclists having gained invaluable insight in relation to hazard perception.

The next courses are taking place on:
Saturday 15th December at Safety Central in Lymm, 9:45am until 12:30pm
Saturday 9th March at Safety Central in Lymm, 1pm until 4pm

Course content - Pedal Smart
Pedal Smart is delivered in a single two and a half hour to three hour group setting where a range of themes affecting cyclists are presented and discussed.
An additional feature is cyclist first aid, during which cyclists will be given extremely useful and potentially life-saving hints and tips.
