Flying out to Nepal

Apprentices in Manchester Airport, all set for the floight out to Nepal

It's finally time for us to fly to Nepal to help build a school over there.  We're all really excited about the trip, and we  all arrived in good time at Manchester Airport ready for our flight out.

This photo shows us on the plane, flying to Nepal with Etihad Airways.  Not long now until we can start to work on the school build in Kharikhola.

After nearly 24 hours of travelling and two separate flights we've arrived in Kathmandu Nepal! Everyone here has been really friendly so far and the hospitality has been fantastic. After a short bus journey we have arrived at Hotel Tibet International and we were greeted with green tea and a marigold garland! Off to tea now, to try some traditional Nepalese food! The photo below shows us having our first meal in Nepal.  Namaste.

We would like to reassure everyone that we are safe and well in Nepal and have not been affected today by the incident at Kathmandu Airport.

We are not sure yet whether they will be able to fly out of the airport tomorrow, but will keep you posted.
