Time to start working on the school

Painting the schoolWe have been struggling with phone signal so we hope you are getting all our blog updates!

We are all ok and loving our time here with the village children.

Eight days into our trip and our clothes need washing so that was the first task for this morning. While our clothes were drying we headed up to the school to do some work on the classrooms.

Our day involved painting window and door frames and also a wall. The mural has been started and we think it will look great when it’s painted in the different colours.Working on the mural

We have tidied up the area around school and even collected cut wood for our camp fire.

The local villagers are really happy to have us here and put on a celebration. We sang together and we danced the night away.

Doctor Jason had to go to the rescue of a villager who fell over while dancing and has a suspected broken ankle. She is now resting at home having been looked after and advised to visit Phaplu hospital tomorrow morning!
