We are sorry to announce that we have had to cancel all community fire station open days for the foreseeable future because of the uncertainty caused by the national strikes called by the Fire Brigades Union.
Fire chiefs are looking for enthusiastic and willing people to work as on-call firefighters at Audlem Fire Station. They want to meet people who are keen to work in a team environment and who would like to earn an additional income of around £5000 each year.

Cheshire Fire and Recsue Service are supporting chimney safety week (8th to 14th September 2014). Most chimney fires are preventable. Regular inspection and cleaning of chimney flues will help prevent fires within chimneys.
Widnes firefighters will be promoting cycling safety outside Wade Deacon High School on Monday 8th Sept as the Tour of Britain passes through the town.

Gas Safety Week (15 - 21 September 2014) is a national safety campaign to raise awareness of gas safety. It’s important that gas appliances are safety checked every year and regularly serviced to help keep us safe and prevent them from breaking down when we need them the most.

Almost twice as many people over the age of 50 die in house fires compared to those under 50. People over 80 are 10 times more likely to die in a fire than someone under 30.
