Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service Operational Assurance Department, Winsford
37 hours per week
Starting Salary of £27,711 within the Salary Scale 5 range £27,711 - £30,060 per annum based on experience

An opportunity has arisen within the Operational Policy and Assurance Department (OPA) for an Operational Skills Administrator to co-ordinate the administration of operational training, using a newly implemented course management system. The post holder will support the team with the production of statistics and reports linked to operational skill expiry dates using Power BI and MS Excel.
Duties will cover / include:
To manage the administration of operational training courses, command training courses, and driver training courses using a course management system.
Monitoring operational skill expiry dates, to ensure that operational skills do not expire.
Managing fitness testing administration.
Updating the course management system and workforce planning system, ensuring that operational training course information and skill set data is accurate and up to date.
Reporting and analysis of statistics covering operational training, fitness testing and skill expiry dates, using Power BI and MS Excel.
Applicants will need to demonstrate:
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
A good understanding of Power BI
Previous use of systems
Attention to detail
A good understanding of booking training courses
Excellent communication skills
Ability to plan and prioritise own workload
Essential requirements of the role include:
BTEC/NVQ Level 3 Business Administration or equivalent Level 3 qualification (or higher) in a relevant subject (or willingness to undertake the qualification).
Substantial experience of maintaining and monitoring systems and records and assisting in analysis of trends within that information
Experience or understanding of co-ordinating training courses and events
