Consultation

On this page you can find out about consultation at Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Why we consult

We have a duty to talk and listen to members of the public, our staff and our partners to make sure we meet the needs of the communities we serve.

From consulting widely on our annual plan to asking residents and businesses for views on our community fire prevention work, we recognise we can only be truly effective if we fully understand what people expect and think of us - and if we involve them in shaping the way we work.

Current consultations

There are no consultations taking place at the moment.

Past consultations

We consult on a range of issues, which are listed below.

We consult on the following:

  • Integrated Risk Management Plans (IRMPs) - these are our annual action plans that set out our priorities and activities for the year ahead.

  • Strategic consultations - we periodically consult on our overarching strategies, which inform our annual plans.

  • Public Satisfaction Surveys - we conduct public satisfaction surveys every two years to determine what the public think about us and the services we provide.

  • Customer Satisfaction Surveys - we ask people for feedback when we undertake work in the community such as Safe and Well visits in people’s homes or providing safety advice to businesses. We also ask for feedback after attending certain emergency calls.
