Visit to the local fire station before saying goodbye to Nepal

Today was our final day in Nepal. We spent the morning fighting through the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu to reach the Fire Station.

Once we got there we found it to be very different to our stations. The kit was very limited including no BA sets. The fire fighters all live around the fire station with their families. The firefighters were very welcoming and kindly showed us around the station. We left some fire service t-shirts with them before saying goodbye.

In the afternoon, we did some final gift shopping in Thamel which helped us brush up on our haggling skills. After lunch it was a quick return to the hotel to freshen up before our flight home.
