Young Leaders In Action Course

Earlier this year 5 cadets from Sandbach attended the "Young Leaders In Action Course" run at FSHQ. This course allowed us to develop our leadership skills, learn about group dynamics and how that can affect group cohesion, how to deal with unacceptable behaviour and learning how to do a risk assessment amongst many other topics.

As well as meeting and working with other cadets from units across the county. This course also provided us with resources which we can take and use with our unit (Sandbach) to allow our fellow cadets who did not attend the course to develop their leadership skills. As a final part of the young leaders in action course we set our own targets to achieve at our own units with mine being to plan and deliver an activity for my fellow cadets at the Sandbach Fire Cadet unit with a time scale I have to achieve this by.
