One fire engine from Widnes, one fire engine from Runcorn, one fire engine from Penketh and one fire engine from Warrington

Firefighters were called to reports of smoke issuing from a building in Widnes. On arrival they found multiple seats of fire on the ground floor of the property. Four firefighters using breathing apparatus and hose reel jets extinguished the fires. Police attended and closed the road while the incident was dealt with.
