Crews were called to a fire involving a fence at the side of a semi-detached house. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. An occupant inside the address has been accounted for.
Update 13:23: Crews discovered a ruptured gas pipe at the incident. Police attended to set up a cordon on St Johns Road. Cadent Gas has been asked to attend to isolate the mains gas.
Update 16:16: National Grid and Cadent Gas engineers are ensuring the utilities in the area are safe. One fire engine remains on scene as a precaution.
