Emergency services responded to a report of a person who had fallen around 20 feet down a steep, muddy embankment.
The area was difficult to access due to darkness, tree coverage, and the muddy terrain. Fire crews worked with North West Ambulance Service's Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and our rope rescue team to safely bring the casualty to the top of the embankment.
The individual was handed over to paramedics for further care.
