A fire in the ground floor of a property was put out by firefighters in breathing apparatus using a hose reel jet. Gas and electricity supplies were isolated and a high pressure fan operated to clear smoke.
One casualty was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and taken to hospital as a precaution. Following a fire investigation the cause is believed to be an electrical extension cable.
