Details
A fire involving a barge that was well alight on a canal required four fire engines and two specialist vehicles to attend. Cordons were put in place while crews worked to set up lighting and get a water supply to the fire. They used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots within the vessel. Everyone was accounted for and paramedics attended to help one person, believed to be suffering smoke inhalation. Crews were in attendance for approximately two and a half hours.
