Emergency services are currently in attendance at Southworth Avenue, Warrington, where several properties have been affected by flood water.
Firefighters are working with other emergency responders to evacuate residents where necessary.
UPDATE AT 20:30 - to date, firefighters have evacuated 61 people from 87 affected properties in the vicinity of Southworth Avenue through the course of the afternoon and evening.
Power is temporarily being cut to nearby properties by energy providers so that urgent investigative work can be carried out.
