Firefighters were called to reports of smoke in a third floor flat in Runcorn and someone inside. Firefighters gained access to the property and found one person on a balcony, who was assisted out of the building and to the care of paramedics. The flat was ventilated of smoke. It is believed the cause of the smoke was cooking being left unattended.
