Firefighters are in attendance at a road traffic collision involving two vehicles in Winwick, Warrington. Police are in attendance and have closed the road while crews deal with the incident.
Update at 08:36: Firefighters have removed the driver's side door from one vehicle and provided first aid to the casualty. Both vehicles have been made safe.
The casualty has now been rescued and passed to the care of paramedics.
Update at 08:43: The casualty is now being taken to hospital and the incident is being left with police.
