Details
Crews attended a house fire on Nantwich Road. Local residents were advised to keep all windows and doors closed at this time.
UPDATE 23:40 - Crews have split the fire into two sectors to manage the incident. Main jets and hose reel jets are being used to fight the blaze in the roof space of the building from the outside, whilst two firefighters in breathing apparatus have entered the building to tackle the fire from the first floor. All persons are accounted for.
UPDATE 23:55 - An aerial ladder platform has now been committed to a third sector and firefighters have withdrawn from the building.
UPDATE 00:30 (23/4/25) - Crews continue to tackle to fire using the aerial ladder platform with covering jets on standby. A water bowser has arrived on scene to supply more water.
UPDATE 01:07 (23/4/25) - Operations continue in all sectors and is now being scaled down to four fire engines and the aerial ladder platform.
UPDATE 07:30 (23/4/25) - Two fire engines remain at the scene this morning checking for hotspots inside the building. Nantwich Road has been reopened.
UPDATE 10:00 - One relief fire engine from Malpas is still in attendance at this incident and crews are checking the semi-detached property in Stanthorne for any signs of fire. Crews were initially called to a chimney fire, which then spread to the roof and involved the loft. The roof and loft of the adjoining property was also checked for signs of fire spread.
