Details
Crews were called to reports of smoke in Warrington, which was found to be caused by a fire in the loft space of a house. All persons were accounted for. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to tackle the blaze, while the aerial ladder platform was utilised to extinguish the fire from above. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots, and firefighters exposed roof timbers to ensure there was no fire spread within the property or neighbouring homes. The aerial ladder platform was also used to remove roof tiles and assess structural safety. A fire investigation has since been completed, and determined that the cause was an electrical fault.
