Details
Firefighters were faced with a fully developed fire involving an outbuilding, which quickly spread to the roof of an attached end terrace house. Everyone inside was accounted for and crews set up a covering water jet outside, to get water onto the property quickly. They also used two hose reels to help get the fire under control. The aerial ladder platform was set up to get water onto the roof from above. A police cordon was set up for safety around the area.
UPDATE 23:00: The incident has now been reduced to two fire engines and crews are using water to cool the affected areas.
UPDATE: 04:00 - Relief crews are in attendance and are monitoring temperatures.
UPDATE: 09:15 on 6 June - Crews are continuing to check the temperature of the property and further relief crews are now in attendance.
UPDATE: 12:00 on 6 June - This incident has now closed. Crews were in attendance for approximately 16 and a half hours.
