One fire engine from Lymm and the Wildfire Unit from Macclesfield attended the incident. Additionally, a crew from Macclesfield arrived using the all-terrain vehicle.

Crews were called to a deep-seated fire approximately 30 meters in size on a grass embankment. They used a water backpack, shovels, and a flat drag to extinguish the flames, and a hose reel jet to dampen the area.
