Firefighters were called to a fire on the first floor of a house in Chester. One casualty was assisted from the property and assessed by fire crews. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters ventilated the property using a high-pressure fan, and carried out safety checks using a gas detector and a thermal imaging camera. Burnt materials were removed from the property and floorboards in the affected areas were examined for signs of fire spread.
Police attended the scene, closing the road during the incident. The incident was handed over to police before leaving the scene.
