Fire crews have been requested to attend an incident on Holmes Chapel Road where two cars have been involved in a collision. One person is reported as physically trapped, and firefighters are preparing the vehicle to release them.
UPDATE 07:29 | The casualty trapped has now been released by firefighters and is in the care of paramedics at the scene. One fire engine has now also left the incident.
UPDATE at 08:51 | Both cars have been made safe, and the scene was handed over to police.
