Fire crews were called after a vehicle had broken down in the layby and was overheating. Thankfully, the vehicle did not catch alight, but firefighters used a hose reel jet to cool the engine and monitor it with a thermal imaging camera. Lane one of the northbound carriageway was closed while the incident was dealt with.
