Firefighters attended reports of a house fire in Collingswood Close, Ellesmere Port. On arrival they discovered smoke within the kitchen of the property, which was a result of a fault which had melted the plug of a washing machine.
Crews isolated power to the house and removed the appliance, before restoring power. All persons in the property were safe and accounted for.
