Three fire engines from Ellesmere Port and Chester (x2)
Details
Crews from Ellesmere Port and Chester responded to a fire in the ground-floor living room of an end-terrace property.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet and a high-pressure fan to fight the fire.
One casualty was rescued from the building and is believed to have suffered from smoke inhalation; they were handed over to the care of paramedics. Crews then re-entered the property, and two dogs were also rescued from the upper floor - they are not believed to have been harmed and were left in the care of a neighbour.
A fire investigation will take place.
