Crews were called to a fire alarm sounding at a house in Chester. Upon arrival, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property with a hose reel jet and cover jet, and discovered a fire within the chimney breast.
The fire was extinguished using the hose reel jet, and a thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots throughout the property and roof space. Burnt debris was removed from the chimney stack, and a high-pressure fan was used to clear smoke from the premises. All persons were accounted for.
