Emergency services were called after a car crashed into a detached house on Millbrook Close, which led to concerns about damage to a gas main.
The driver of the car was taken to hospital, and three passengers were also checked over by paramedics at the scene.
As a precaution, around 12 homes were evacuated due to the gas leak risk. Residents were relocated to another property while the incident was dealt with. Cadent Gas isolated the supply, and the vehicle was recovered.
The incident was left with the police to manage the scene, with support from local authority teams to check the building’s safety.
