Firefighters were called to a road traffic collision on the M56.
No persons were trapped, and the road was closed while the incident was dealt with.
Firefighters and police officers provided initial first aid to two casualties, who were then handed over to the care of paramedics and taken to hospital for further treatment.
Once the incident was brought under control, two lanes were reopened before firefighters left the scene, which was handed over to the police and National Highways.
