Five fire engines from Penketh, Widnes, Warrington, Powey Lane, and Knutsford, as well as the rope rescue unit from Knutsford, and the rescue boat from Warrington.

Crews were called to reports of a person and two dogs stranded in water in Widnes. Swift-water trained firefighters quickly located and brought them to safety using a rescue raft. Paramedics and police were also in attendance.
