Two fire engines from Chester and one fire engine from Powey Lane

Crews were called to a gas leak in the garden of a detached house in Chester. The house and nearby properties were evacuated for safety. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used gas detectors to monitor gas levels in and stood by with hose reels as a precaution. A cordon was put in place, and the road was closed while the incident was dealt with. Police and a gas company were also in attendance. Once the gas leak had been isolated the cordon was lifted so nearby residents could return to their homes. The incident closed around 14:40.
