Fire crews were called to a commercial premises on The Cross in Lymm after reports of smoke coming from the premises and the flat above. On arrival, firefighters in breathing apparatus found the building smoke-logged with alarms sounding. Crews located a single pan smouldering inside and confirmed there was no further fire. The property and upstairs flat were fully searched, and neighbouring homes were checked and cleared of smoke. A high-pressure fan was used to remove smoke from the building. No casualties were reported. The incident was brought to a safe conclusion by 05:23.
