Three fire engines from Warrington, Lymm and Penketh

Firefighters were called to tackle a kitchen fire in a mid-terraced house, which had caused heavy smoke in the street. Crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to bring the fire under control.
Firefighters checked neighbouring properties for signs of fire spread and cleared the smoke from houses with high-pressure fans.
Paramedics assessed one person at the scene. The fire is believed to have been caused accidentally by cooking.
