Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish a fire in a kitchen in Crewe. A high-pressure fan was then used to clear smoke from the premises. The property was checked for signs of fire spread, and affected cupboards were removed from the kitchen.
All persons were accounted for, and this is believed to have been caused by an item left on the hob.
