Crews attended a fire that was contained to a small downstairs room. Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and a high-pressure fan to clear smoke from the property. The occupants had safely evacuated before crews arrived, and a pet tortoise was rescued and is believed to be unharmed. The fire is thought to have been caused accidentally due to an electrical fault.
Update 24/12/2025 - Runcorn Blue Watch shared that the tortoise was checked over by a vet and is believed to be doing well.
