One of our weekday fire engines, plus the rope rescue unit from Knutsford
Details
Firefighters were called to assist a person who had fallen down a muddy embankment, which was around two metres below a footpath.
Due to slippery conditions, firefighters used height‑safety equipment, including a handrail and work‑restraint system, to ensure safe access to the casualty for emergency service personnel.
Firefighters stabilised the casualty, keeping them warm until paramedics arrived and took over their care.
The specialist rope rescue unit team came to help lift the casualty out of the embankment to the safety of the footpath.
