Crews were called to a small fire involving an air conditioning unit in the plant room at the Jubilee Day Surgery, Countess of Chester Hospital. The fire is believed to have been caused by overheating electrical cabling.
Firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus, a dry powder extinguisher, a hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire and check for any remaining hot spots.
As a precaution, the building was evacuated while crews worked to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters remained on scene for approximately one hour.
