Two fire engines from Powey Lane and Ellesmere Port
Details
Crews were called to reports of smoke in a kitchen in Ellesmere Port. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and found the fire to be out before using a high‑pressure fan to ventilate the premises. Two casualties were assessed by paramedics for smoke inhalation, with one taken to hospital. The incident is believed to have been caused by an oven left on and unattended.
