Fire engines are in attendance from Sandbach, Alsager, Northwich and Macclesfield, as well as the Rapid Response Rescue Unit from Aslager, the water bowser from Crewe and the command unit from Northwich.

Crews are currently in attendance at a well established barn fire in Smallwood.
As firefighters work to get the blaze under control, residents in the area are advised to keep their doors and windows closed, and to stay indoors away from the smoke. This incident is expected to be ongoing, further updates will be provided.
Update at 16:40 | At approximately 13:40pm, crews were called to a barn that was well alight in Smallwood. A main jet is being used to tackle the blaze and nearby farm buildings have been evacuated. The road has been closed while the incident is dealt with.
