Halton and Warrington Administration Hub at Warrington Fire Station
22 hours per week - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
Starting Salary of £15,212 pro rata per annum within the Salary Scale 3 range £25,583 - £25,989 per annum (full time equivalent) based on experience
9am on Thursday 2 April 2026
Temporary - 6 month fixed term contract
The main purpose of this job role is to provide a comprehensive administrative support to Fire Stations across the unitary areas setting up systems and processes that will support the activities of Service Delivery and Fire Prevention and Protection teams to achieve objectives. The post holder will also support the Administration Manager.
Responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining the ordering of goods and services for the Admin Hub office, Stations, Station personnel, and the Protection & Prevention Department to ensure efficient service delivery. You will also track outstanding items on the ordering system, ensure the effective recording of order receipts, plan and coordinate meetings, take actions/minutes as required, and maintain accurate and timely records of proceedings, arranging follow-up actions as necessary.
Requirements of the role include:
Educated to at least BTEC Higher, NVQ Level 3 Business Administration or equivalent with a good level of literacy and numeracy
Knowledge and experience of IT systems, data bases, software including networking and spreadsheets e.g. Microsoft Office suite of applications
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build personal relationships and work well as a team
Ability to plan and prioritise own workload
