Location: various with offices based at Warrington, Chester, Crewe, Winsford and Macclesfield.
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: Scale 4, £22,369 - £24,054 per annum

We are looking to recruit a number of Advocates within the Prevention Department to develop, generate and deliver Community Safety initiatives to people in their own homes who live across Cheshire.
Working in partnership with outside agencies and fire station personnel, as an Advocate you will deliver fire safety ‘Safe and Well’ visits to residents across Cheshire.
The individual will be required to conduct presentations to Cheshire, Halton and Warrington residents and associated partners in respect of home fire safety and road safety. This includes delivery of road safety presentations to Key Stage 2 & 4 in schools.
Educated to at least GCSE level, with the equivalent of a Grade C in Math’s and English, you’ll also have a full driving licence.
You will have access to a Service vehicle to fulfil this role and full training will be provided.
Applicants must be highly motivated and committed, and have the ability to work with limited supervision as part of a team in a variety of work settings within the community.
In addition you will need:
Excellent presentation skills
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise
Knowledge/experience of working with the public, in particular engaging with vulnerable people
Understanding/knowledge of frontline community safety led interventions
Appointment to these posts are subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
The Prevention department is currently undergoing a review, which these roles form part of. The outcome of the review will determine if these roles will be made permanent.
