The main purpose of this job roles is to develop, generate and deliver Community Safety initiatives to people in their own homes who live across Cheshire.

Duties will cover/ include working in partnership with outside agencies and fire station personnel, to deliver fire safety ‘Safe and Well’ visits to residents in their own homes across Cheshire.

The individual will be required to deliver presentations to Cheshire, Halton and Warrington residents and associated partners in respect of home fire safety, water safety and road safety. There will also be an opportunity to get involved in deliberate fire reduction activities supporting local fire station.  This includes presentations to Key Stage 2 & 4 levels in schools

Requirements of the role include:

  1. Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise

  2. Excellent presentation skills to support delivery of Fire/Road Safety into schools - KS2&4

  3. Ability to prioritise and work towards personal and departmental targets

  4. Ability to work as part of a delivery team supporting vulnerable people within the community

  5. Flexible in working weekends when required

  6. Understanding/knowledge community safety led interventions
