Starting salary of £26,403 within the Salary Scale 4 range £26,403 to £28,142 per annum based on experience

Permanent - This position is based in an open plan office in Headquarters
We are looking for somebody to join our Finance team as a full time Finance Assistant. In this role you will be part of a small team providing a professional Accounts and Purchasing service to Cheshire Fire and Rescue.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
Liaise with suppliers to deal with queries, obtaining quotes and raising and reviewing requisitions where necessary
Raising all debtor invoices and processing and paying all creditor invoices
Act as the first point of contact for the Finance Department
Other financial and administrative tasks to contribute to the provision of financial services for the Authority, as detailed in the Job Description.
Essential requirements of the role include:
GCSE Mathematics at grade C or above
A minimum of A Level education or equivalent Finance experience
Experience of working in financial environment
Experience of working to deadlines
Experience of creditors and debtors
Use of Spreadsheets
High level of ICT Literacy
Excellent interpersonal & relationship management skills
Good communication skills, written & verbal
