Details
Several fire service vehicles were deployed to Chester following the activation of a fire alarm and a smell of smoke in the cellar of a commercial premises on Eastgate Street. Given the proximity of premises, several crews were sent into neighbouring buildings to carry out thorough searches using thermal imaging cameras and gas monitors. Crews were in attendance for just under an hour and found no signs of fire or cause for concern. This was a false alarm and is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault in one of the premises.
