Starting Salary of £26,403 within the Salary Scale 4 range £26,403 - £28,142 per annum based on experience

Temporary - Up to 12 months fixed term contract This position is primarily based at Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service at Headquarters, working within an open-plan office environment, with flexibility to attend meetings across Service locations and external venues as required.
The main purpose of this job role is to provide a comprehensive administrative support to the Service Improvement Department which comprises the Corporate Programme Office (CPO) and Organisational performance and planning teams.
Duties will include:
Plan and co-ordinate the arrangements for a range of business-critical meetings, workshops and events involving Service Improvement personnel, attending and taking minutes and actions as required to provide an accurate and timely record of decisions
Coordinate returns for the quarterly Performance and Programme Health Reports.
Support the administration, maintenance and monitoring of Key Service Improvement action plans including recommendations pertaining to previous HMI audits and notable operational incidents (e.g. Grenfell)
Assist in the co-ordination of data returns for both the Inspectorate and Home Office.
Provide administrative support in the development, co-ordination and review of Service wide departmental plans to ensure effective delivery against organisational objectives.
Facilitate the recording, monitoring and tracking of both internal and external audit recommendations and actions.
Provide administrative support to the Service’s project managers at project and programme board meetings.
Take ownership of administration of the Cheshire Planning System (CPS), the Service’s in house project management tool - including the project request and setup process.
Support the Corporate Programme Manager to ensure projects adhere to internal policies and procedures – including regular meetings with Project managers to ensure progress, risks and key project documentation is being captured on CPS.
Monitor and update the benefit register, project closedown and PIR trackers on behalf of the CPO.
Review and track the policies attributed to the department.

Requirements of the role include:
Educated to at least BTEC Higher, NVQ Level 3 Business Administration or equivalent with a good level of literacy and numeracy
Knowledge and experience of IT systems, data bases, software including networking and spreadsheets e.g. Microsoft Office suite of applications
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build personal relationships and work well as a team
Ability to plan and prioritise own workload
