Five-vehicle collision on the M6

Four fire engines from Middlewich, Sandbach, Crewe and Lymm
Crews were called to the scene of a five-vehicle collision. Using specialist cutting equipment and rescue techniques they released two casualties who were trapped. Six people in total were taken to hospital with minor injuries. All four lanes of the motorway were closed for a time while emergency services dealt with the incident. Fire engines were in attendance for around one hour 40 minutes.
