Firefighters located a grass fire along a fence line, approximately 20 metres in length. They used beaters and buckets of water to extinguish. It is believed to have been caused by a discarded vape.
Prevention advice | The ground is very dry and the risk of grass fires is high. Help us to prevent fires by:
- Taking all litter home with you
- Extinguishing cigarettes safely
- Not lighting bonfires in the countryside, woodland and all other green spaces
- Taking a picnic out with you instead of a barbeque
