Details
Crews were called to a large refuse fire involving artificial grass and tyres which was well alight. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to dampen the flames, while a protective jet kept the fire from spreading to a nearby radio mast.
At 20:40 firefighters were still in attendance turning over the refuse and dampening down hot spots. A thermal imaging camera was used to monitor sources of heat.
At 21:09 this incident was closed following final thermal imaging checks from crews.
