Details
Crews were called to a fire that began in a garden and spread to a nearby commercial building, which had flats on the first floor, in Shavington. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets and a safety jet to tackle and extinguish the blaze. All persons were accounted for, and one casualty was treated by paramedics on scene for smoke inhalation. Firefighters cut away areas of the building to prevent further fire spread and used two hose reel jets to cool any hotspots. A high-pressure fan was used to clear smoke from the properties.
